Village Animal Hospital

Village Animal Hospital is pleased to offer a wide range of surgical procedures to our clients including spay, neuter, declaw, tumor removal, abdominal procedures, and dental procedures. In addition, a board certified surgeon with a mobile service is available to our hospital to perform advanced surgical procedures on-site.

All of our surgical procedures include:

Pain management prior to, during, and after the surgery is complete.
Body temperature control during and after a surgical procedure.
Anesthetic monitoring (ECG, Pulse – ox, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and temperature).

Our doctors utilize a LuxarCare laser machine on all declaws and other various procedures, which minimizes pain and postoperative swelling.

Important Information for your pet’s surgery:
We ask that you not feed your pet after 10 pm the evening before surgery.
Surgery patients should arrive to the office between 8:30 -9am on the surgery day.
A technician or doctor will check your pet in on the morning of the surgery and answer any questions you may have regarding the procedure.

With every surgery patient, it is recommended to do pre-anesthetic blood work to evaluate liver and kidney health. Please discuss with the veterinarian prior to surgery if you have any additional questions.

Typically our surgery patients go home the same day, unless otherwise discussed when scheduling the surgery.

When your pet is ready to go home, we will review all postoperative care instructions. If any questions arise after returning home with your pet, please give us a call. We welcome your questions and will do all we can to help your pet fully recover.
