Jenaleigh, RVT

Jena has been a member of the Village Animal Hospital team since 2002. She started as a kennel assistant while in high school and in 2006 she graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Gaston College. Jena continues to take business classes and is currently completing construction on two enormous chicken houses. Beginning in mid-May 2011 her houses should be filled with over 56,000 baby chicks!
While away from work and not at her farm, Jena enjoys working out, horseback riding, and hiking. She has MANY pets at home, including a few horses and cows. Her "babies" are a Yorkshire Terrier named Daisy Mae and a Miniature Poodle named Little C. |
Daisy, RVT

Daisy came to Village Animal Hospital in the Spring of 2007 as a kennel assistant. She continued to work in the kennel and as a veterinary assistant while attending Gaston College's Veterinary Technician program. In June of 2010 Daisy graduated from Gaston College with honors! She has now passed the national board exam and North Carolina State exam to become a Registered Veterinary Technician.
From riding her horses to going to the beach, Daisy likes to do just about anything outdoors in her spare time. She is also a sales representative for Mary Kay. Daisy's pets include a Miniature Australian Shepherd named Belle, a standard sized Australian Shepherd named Dallie, Gracie the Poodle, a Labrador Retriever named Clide, and a mixed breed dog named Tuff. She also has six horses: Spot, an Appaloosa; Wrangler, a Paint/Quarter Horse; Roper, a Quarter Horse; Ozzy, an Appaloosa; Sunny, a Quarter Horse; and Ace, a Mustang. |
Kara
Veterinary Technician & Dog Trainer |

Kara came to Village Animal Hospital late in the Summer of 2008 after moving from Maine. In 2000 she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mount Ida College in Newton, Massachusetts with her degree in Veterinary Technology. Kara came to us with experience as a veterinary technician and dog trainer. She is an AKC Canine Good Citizen approved evaluator, a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers and is working toward becomming a certified dog trainer.
When not at Village Animal Hospital, Kara spends a lot of time with her 8 year old daughter, Jillian, out in the yard, baking, and at soccer games. Kara has a 3 year old Cattle Dog Mix named Rosey and a Beagle puppy named Mosi. Jilli has a chubby cat that she named Mr. Cooper. And her family enjoys their 3 goats; Waldorf, Statler, and Gladys. |
Jeri Lee

Jeri Lee has been with Village Animal Hospital since 2002. Her previous animal experience and gentle demeanor make her an excellent veterinary assistant. Even when she is not at work Jeri Lee is involved with animals... Guinea Pigs! She is a very active foster parent for All Creatures Rescue.
In her spare time Jeri Lee enjoys trying new restaurants, taking Zumba and kickboxing classes, and spending time with her neices. Her pets at home include Pippi, a Shih Tzu; a Jack Russell Terrier named Pacey; Sadie, a Terrier Mix; Coco the Chihuahua; two cats, Alfie and Giuseppe; guinea pigs, Karen, Hank, and Nancy; and her hamster Mitchell. |

Michelle joined the Village Animal Hospital staff during the summer of 2008 after being a stay-at-home mom for 10 years. She has added a sunny, comforting personality to our "front lines." Michelle has had over 10 years of experience as an administrative assistant, and that experience definitely shines through as she works through her daily tasks and with our clients and patients.
In her time away from work, she spends time with her husband, Joe, and their two sons, Justin and Nathan. She enjoys watching the boy's basketball games, boating and water sports on the lake with her family, as well as painting and home decorating. Michelle has two dogs, a Goldendoodle named Oliver and a 3 legged Bird Dog Mix named Spots. |
Kelly

Kelly came to Village Animal Hospital for a change of pace from her cosmetology career and doing hair at "Shampoo 202" in Mooresville (something she does still do part-time). She is a 2005 Mooresville High School graduate and attended Pinnacle cosmetology school.
In her spare time Kelly enjoys going to the beach, fishing, shopping, and spending time with her friends and family. She has two mixed breed dogs, Pebbles and Bam-Bam; a Yorkie-Poo named Macy, and a Labrador Retriever named Colt. |
Andrea
Receptionist & Veterinary Assistant |

Andrea recently moved to Mooresville from South Dakota where she had been a veterinary assistant for 9 years. She has experience with large animals, small animals, and exotic pets. Andrea is currently working toward a bachelors degree in Business Management with an emphasis in travel/hospitality.
When not at work, Andrea enjoys hiking, camping, and traveling. She has three children that keep her very busy. She also has three dogs: An Irish Wolfhound, a Great Dane, and a "Lucy." |

Angel started coming to Village Animal Hospital in 2010 as a volunteer on Saturdays, and is now on the payroll working part time in the kennel and as a veterinary assistant. She will be graduating from First Assembly High School in the Spring of 2011 and will be attending the Veterinary Technician program at Gaston College next Fall.
In her spare time, Angel enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, volleyball, and spending time with her friends, family, and boyfriend. Angel and her family have several dogs including a Beagle named Zack, a Dachshund named Slinky, and two mixed breed dogs named Peanut and Diesel. She also has a chicken named Alice and a bunny named Dimples. |
